Food for beauty

Healthy skin starts with a healthy diet. Eating well is often to first step towards beautiful skin.

The tomato is a summer staple and we love it in all its forms, whether it's in a simple salad with a dash of olive oil or as part of a more "sophisticated" dish.

But did you know that it is also thought to make skin glow? Rich in potassium, manganese, copper, magnesium, phosphorus, and vitamin C and B, it contains carotenoids, vitamin A and lycopene vectors which give it its attractive color. These lycopene vectors are highly powerful antioxidants, which hydrate, repair and protect the skin against UV rays. Contrary to what one might think, when cooked the concentration of a tomato increases by up to 13 times more than a raw tomato, and this makes it an excellent anti-aging solution for the skin.

Recap: with powerful antioxidant properties and less than 15 calories per 100 g, the tomato has proved itself to be a winner, cooked or raw!
