Winter skin care: the 3 essential steps

Winter skin care: the 3 essential steps

Cold, wind, temperature changes... winter is not very kind to our skin! Our skin is indeed sensitized, dehydrated and weakened, so it's time to pamper it with a simple, quick but highly effective skin routine.

With each change of season, our skin's needs change, so we must adjust our beauty routine accordingly and in winter, more than ever, to keep our skin soft, protected and moisturised.

1st beauty step in your special winter routine: Exfoliation!

It is important to exfoliate the skin of the face and body throughout the year and especially in winter.
Dry skin needs to be regenerated. Before moisturising deeply, it is essential to exfoliate to remove dead cells.

For the face: gently exfoliate with a grain-free scrub that will clear up the most sensitive skin without irritating it. Once a week, we use Gommage Yon-Ka, the favourite of our consumers. This 4-in-1 treatment: exfoliates, brightens, purifies and moisturises the skin for a soft and clean result. It is so gentle that it can also be used around the eyes. Moreover, this botanical scrub contains borneol and brown algae with soothing and calming properties, so we feel free to use it more often if our skin is tight.

For the body : We love the Gommage aux sucres Vitalite, for a tangy touch, or the Gommage aux sucres Relax for its delicious tropical scent. Their super tasty texture transforms into milk on contact with water and effectively exfoliates all the little rough spots on the body while leaving a nourishing veil on the skin.

2nd step in your beauty routine : Give your skin maximum hydration

Never underestimate the benefits of a proper moisturising mask, especially in winter! So we choose the comforting and cocooning Hydra N°1 Masque.
It is recommended to use twice a week to deeply treat dryness. It is suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive or weakened, thanks to its repairing and regenerating active ingredients such as vitamins A, E, C, B5 and jojoba

Bonus: apply a thin layer in the evening and leave it on all night. In the morning, the skin is intensely hydrated, soft and plumped up!

For reactive skin prone to redness, we recommend Sensitive Masque, a cocktail of 10 plant extracts, including Arnica and Horse Chestnut, known for their soothing and anti-redness properties.

3rd step in this beauty routine: moisturise and deeply nourish your skin

Remember to stay well hydrated by drinking 1.5 litres of water a day (2 litres for athletes), and adapt your diet with seasonal fruit and vegetables, essential fatty acids found in oily fish, vegetable oils and dried fruit.

For the face : Choose a day care cream and a night care cream, suited to your skin and its needs and boost them with Yon-Ka Hydra+ Booster or Yon-Ka Nutri + Booster.

Hydra + is the best ally for dehydrated skin, whether dry or oily. It immediately reduces tightness and roughness! The skin is supple, comforted and radiant.
Nutri + is full of vitamins E and F, it nourishes and revitalises skin that has been badly damaged by everyday aggressions. A few drops are enough to bring comfort, tone and radiance to the skin.

For the body : Don't skimp on Lait Hydratant Detox, with lavender, or Lait Hydratant Vitalité, with its citrus notes, which you apply every day by massaging gently.

Bonus : Add a few drops of the body oil of your choice, Huile Corps Délicieuse for its delicious tropical scents, Huile Corps Silhouette to reduce cellulite or Huile Corps Detox with aromatic lavender essences. This combination of moisturizing milk and dry oil will bring even more softness and nutrition to the skin.

Don't forget to massage your hands and feet with a moisturising milk or with Crème Mains Vitalité rich in shea butter. Dry and damaged hands will thank this moisturising, nourishing and repairing cream.

To pamper your skin a little more, treat yourself to a wellness break once a month (or more!) by finding a Yon-Ka approved spa/salon and opt, for example, for the Hydralessence treatment.
